Three candidates are running to represent Ohio’s 4th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Urbana, is facing challenges from Democrat Shannon Freshour, of Marysville, and Libertarian Steve Perkins of Pataskala.
The 4th House District includes the Lorain County cities of Elyria, Amherst and Oberlin; the villages of Sheffield, South Amherst and Grafton; and the townships of Sheffield, Elyria, Amherst, Carlisle, New Russia, Henrietta, Pittsfield and Camden.
The district stretches across multiple counties of Ohio.
The candidates are:
Freshour did not return a Morning Journal election questionnaire.
Freshour’s priorities include health care, middle class tax cuts and economic stability, education, equality and climate crisis, according to her website.
Jordan did not return a Morning Journal election questionnaire.
“Jordan helped found and was elected by his colleagues to chair the House Freedom Caucus,” according to his website. “Jordan is focused on his oversight role, helping lead investigations into federal agencies, including the IRS.”
Perkins did not return a Morning Journal election questionnaire.
