Hospitality industry urging Democrats to support GOP restaurant/bar reopening plan

Baker says he’s optimistic because Democrats…

“They’re very engaged in my bill, writing a bill.   They’re maybe bringing up some other ideas to how they want to do things too. But it definitely got things off the ground running.”

House Majority Leader Ryan Winkler said May 1st is a “very good goal” but Democrats are not willing to immediately terminate the governor’s emergency powers and essentially make Minnesota defenseless against COVID.
