Journal Junctions for May 4 | Journal-news

From Hedgesville:

Trump got trashed for picking the wrong people for the administration, but I think Biden is outdoing them all. Where do they get these people? The Republicans shouldn’t get overconfident about the upcoming elections. We’ll soon have 1,800 undocumented Democrats crossing the border. New York is allowing 800,000 to vote. The BBB pork bill that McKinley supports has a clause for illegals to vote in our elections. AOC is fighting with musk, and she bought a Tesla. Lol.

From Kearneysville:

Today, I received a new voters registration card, one week before the primary. The website to look up your precinct is non-functioning. I am now in Precinct 20 at Howard Burkhart terminal. There was no address provided. Is this an effort to suppress voting or just incompetency?

From Martinsburg:

The Democrats are determined to make the U.S. a one-arty nation. They are out to destroy Republicans and Independents any way they can. Midterms are here, and now, Biden has ordered the disinformation board to block the truth. Citizens of the former USSR voted but only within the Communist Party. No excuse for Baby Boomers not understanding what is happening. The young people of America are taught in schools to hate their nation. We are over the precipice.

From Martinsburg:

Constitutional amendments create the legal basis for “innocent until proven guilty.” “Red flag” gun laws allow the government to take away your guns without proving that you have committed a crime. David McKinley told the Wheeling News-Register that he favors “red flag” laws. Later, he sent a mailer denying that he was for red flag laws. Who you gonna trust? Vote for Alex Mooney on May 10. He will vote to protect your Second Amendment rights.

From Martinsburg:

The front-page article on Monday’s Journal, “Evidence mounts of GOP involvement in Trump election schemes,” gave immediate rise to the thought that it sure would be refreshing if the AP, for just once, would highlight the now overwhelming evidence of corruption involving the Biden family. Sixteen months after it happened, the AP continues to obsess over the relatively inconsequential events of Jan. 6, 2021, while completely ignoring the political machinations of Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

From Martinsburg:

Our voter registration cards got delivered yesterday. Our polling place is listed as the Ridgeway Community Center (?). According to Google, it’s in Wisconsin. In the same batch of mail was a letter, only to me, from the county commission of Logan County(?) listing a change of precinct and polling place. This one I can find. I hope Logan County sends the change info to my husband and daughter.

From Martinsburg:

West Virginia Constitution (Art. 1, Sec. 1) Preamble: “Since through Divine Providence we enjoy the blessings of civil, political and religious liberty, we, the people of West Virginia, in and through the provisions of this Constitution, reaffirm our faith in and constant reliance upon God and seek diligently to promote, preserve and perpetuate good government in the State of West Virginia for the common welfare, freedom and security of ourselves and our posterity.”

From Martinsburg:

As the Hate Trump Syndrome spirals out of control, especially among many in the ruling elite, this country is going to need many more psychiatrists. You can already see more hatred being directed against Gov. DeSantis and other conservatives starting to surface. Heaven help the Hollywood leftists and wealthy elitists as they go crazy as just one, Elon Musk, breaks from their ranks to provide uncensored news.

From Martinsburg:

In noticing campaign signs this primary election time, I particularly notice Larry Kump signs in many, many state right-a-ways, which is illegal. Mr. Kump is a fine man, but whoever put his signs out needs a course in campaign laws and to follow them.

From Charles Town:

Former gubernatorial candidate for Georgia, Stacy Abrams, is now telling anyone that will listen that the voting machines in the 2018 election, that she lost, were rigged. The machines are property of a shell company owned by the most vehemently anti-Republican billionaire, George Soros. Remember, she was expected to win because the fix was in? Now, almost a dozen staunch supporters, of 3.9 million voters, say they had problems balloting, meaning her campaign didn’t cheat enough. “Bad candidate Blues.”

From Martinsburg:

Biden and his liberal pirates first cut off gas pipelines, then oil exploration and mining. Then, when things get bad for everyone, they decide to resume what they have stopped. It is like a parent starving a child, then trying to fatten that child up before Child Protective Services arrives to have them arrested. Oh yeah, elections are just around the corner — the CPS for politics.

From Hedgesville:

The White House says that the new disinformation board will be “nonpartisan and apolitical.” Anyone with a half an ounce of sense knows that anything in Washington, D.C., will be political. Every federal-appointed job is considered a political appointment, basically an IOU to one party or another. This so-called “ministry of truth” leads down a slippery slope of information control and dissemination of propaganda. There’s good reason to be up in arms over this even being considered.

From Ranson:

A thank-you to the person who paid for my wife’s and my lunch at Cracker Barrel in Martinsburg on Sunday. Thanks, and God bless you richly.

From Jefferson County:

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating breakfast at the Dining Room in Inwood on Saturday. As they brought our food, they informed us a young couple has just paid our bill and left. So, we never got the pleasure to say thank you for your kindness. But be sure, we did very much appreciate it, and we will pass it on in the future. May God bless you and your family. There’s still great people in this world.
