ITV Britain’s Got Talent: Simon Cowell looks unrecognisable in picture taken years before Botox which went ‘too far’

An unearthed photo of Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell taken more than 25 years ago, has laid bare how much his appearance has changed following years of Botox, which he himself admits ‘went too far’ at times. The photo was taken way back at the 1994 Brit Awards, which took place at Alexandra Palace in North London. In the picture, Simon is 35-years-old and looks like a totally different person.

He recently came clean about his Botox obsession, which he’d said “is no more unusual than toothpaste”, although he revealed that he’s gone a bit too far over the years. Before the latest series of his popular ITV talent show hit our screens, the music mogul, 62, opened up about his changing face.

He told The Sun : “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day, and didn’t recognise it as me first of all. Eric (his son) was in hysterics. Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”

Simon Cowell looks very different now

In another interview for Glamour, Simon admitted that he regrets his decision to have undergone the amount of Botox that he he did saying: “Hopefully I look better now – I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it. Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment.

“I have a girl who comes here and does a great face massage – it’s very relaxing,” he explained. Many fans of the show this year were able to notice the massive change in his appearance. Taking to Twitter, one fan expressed their shock saying: “WTF has #SimonCowell done to his face.”

Another fans showing concern said: “I was thinking the same…what has @SimonCowell surgeon done to his face? It looks like he’s been in a fight with @Tyson_Fury #SimonCowell.” A third said: “Oh Simon… what’s going on? Doesn’t even look like him anymore!”

The 62-year-old from Lambeth, London, launched the careers of numerous wannabe pop stars that later went on to make it big in the music industry – from Will Young, to Leona Lewis, One Direction, and Little Mix. It’s far to say that the years of hard graft paid over the star as he become an international icon through his work discovering talent.

Since the creation of Pop Idol, which first appeared on our screens back in 2001, Simon’s managed to find success over in America with his two other hit shows: America’s Got Talent and American Idol. Other countries across the globe have followed in his footsteps and even starting talent shows of their own.
