BBC The One Show guests under fire for ‘bored’ reaction to Eurovision star Sam Ryder

Viewers tuning into The One Show weren’t impressed as they noticed the guests’ “bored” reaction to Eurovision star Sam Ryder. Top Gun: Maverick actors Miles Teller and Jennifer Connelly appeared to discuss the new Tom Cruise film.

They joined Eurovision star Sam Ryder on the sofa for Monday night’s (May 16) episode. However, as Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas spoke to Sam about the significance of his Eurovision performance, viewers noticed Jennifer and Miles looking confused.

BBC viewers took to Twitter to comment. Stu @Stu_Lewis tweeted: “Miles Teller and Jennifer Connelly utterly bored and/or baffled by the Eurovision chat on the One Show.”

Chrissy @ChrissyGee84 agreed, adding: “Jennifer Connelly on #TheOneShow looking like WTF is this show.”

Gerard @Gmackematix replied: “Tbf people promoting films usually just look a bit lagged because they have had to sit through similar dull magazine shows in the US, Australia and maybe elsewhere.”

Courtney @courtneyboreham also noticed the Top Gun stars’ baffled reactions. They posted: “Miles Teller on The One Show right now with not a single clue what is happening.”

Meanwhile, Dan @DannyReddy1 joked: “The Hollywoods stars miffed they are not the star of the show.”

And The One Show viewer Mark @jacobs_ladder71 wrote: “Jennifer Connelly is on The One Show. She’ll probably feel like she’s been in Requiem For A Dream again by the time she’s finished.”

The One Show airs on weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
