Global personal-computer sales plunged 28.1% in the 2022 fourth quarter to 67.2 million units, as the pandemic-era PC boom continued to unwind, according to new data from the market-research firm International Data Corp. The decline accelerated from a 15% drop in the third quarter.
For all of 2022, PC shipments were 292.3 million units, down 16.5% from 350.1 million units in 2021, but still well above prepandemic levels.
