“A lot of people assume that I’m dark and twisted in real life because of these roles that I play. But I am not like that at all,” Jenna said about being typecast for her roles in the likes of Wednesday and Scream 6. “I think there is just something about my face where people see it and they’re like ‘Hey, let’s throw blood on that.’”
She also claimed that she isn’t what makes her so scary.
“Scary music and editing can make anything seem like a horror film,” she explained before transforming a clip from her first acting gig – an adorable Colgate commercial – into the stuff of nightmares.
Why did Jenna decide to host SNL? “I wanted to face my biggest fear – happy, extroverted people who are always trying to perform,” she shared.
Her Wednesday co-star Fred Armisen – a SNL alum – showed up to support Jenna from the audience and joined her onstage for a quick exchange.
We’ll get this post updated with the monologue once it becomes available and will keep you up to date on any other things that happen during the show tonight. If you didn’t know, The 1975 is the musical guest.
