Nadia told us that getting cast in A Winning Team was a very “crazy, loaded moment” for her.
“I was in a dreamland because, to be honest with you, it’s Hallmark,” she shared. “For a long time, I was like, ‘I wanna do dramatic, I wanna play a vampire, I want to play this’, and during the pandemic, I was auditioning for all of them, and also auditioning for Hallmark. Doing that honestly just helped me get through it.”
Nadia revealed that she was very isolated during it all, because her “family was in Asia and all I did was audition. I was reading scripts and doing all these things. But, every time I had a Hallmark audition, I had to fight for love.”
“I would have to literally find it inside me to fight for love and to fight like inside myself to get to this place. During the Pandemic, it was very challenging, and [Hallmark] actually saved me,” she shared with us about how Hallmark came in at just the right time for her. “I didn’t even know if I was ever gonna be in a Hallmark movie, but you know what, this really was very healing. So I’m very grateful for that.”
Nadia added that throughout the process, she was “very grateful” and the entire experience for her fed her as an actor.
“I didn’t know what Hallmark was looking for, to be honest, because it was always so full of joy and positivity…and just going through that journey as a character through auditions helped my mental state of being through the entire pandemic,” she shared. “I’m very grateful that I actually get to be in Hallmark movie.”
