During an appearance on the UK’s This Morning talk show (via E!), co-host Alison Hammond revealed that the Princess of Wales confirmed her suspicions that she would wear something blue.
Alison spoke to Kate and her husband, Prince William, during their recent trip to Birmingham, and asked her about her outfit details.
“I said, ‘I feel like you’re going to wear blue,” Alison said. “She’s like, ‘There is a hint of blue.’”
As many royal fans are well aware, Kate has always favored the color blue for many events after joining the Royal Family in 2011.
The shades of blue always vary, but many of her outfits seem to be a nod to her engagement ring, which is a 12-carat, oval Ceylon blue sapphire, framed by a halo of 14 diamonds and set in 18-carat white gold, that once belonged to Prince William‘s mother, Princess Diana.
Kate and William have went on to wear blue at several occasions together, and their children as well. It’s become their family’s color.
Leading up to the May 6 event, the guest list is filled with notable names, but is missing a few key people who are part of the royal family.
