Maldonado will be the first Latinx judge to serve on the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals following the U.S. Senate’s 47-43 vote Monday to confirm her nomination to the Chicago-based appellate bench.Maldonado, 48, currently serves on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
