The potential applications of artificial intelligence in tourism are once again the focus of numerous contributions this year, in which the new technology is examined from various perspectives. The most important stage for this topic is the eTravel Stage in Hall 6.1. As part of the Travel Tech Track, the AI Track and the Tours & Activities Track, the convention will discuss the contours of a travel world increasingly shaped by algorithms and data streams. Exciting insights into the complex world of artificial intelligence are promised by presentations and contributions from leading international experts such as Martin Stoll (CEO, Sparkloft Media), Alex Chen (CTO, Fliggy), Wendy Olson Killion (CEO, Rome2Rio) and Alex Bainbridge (CEO, Autoura).

Strategies for balance in tourism

The balance between different players and requirements in tourism will be the focus of the Orange Stage in Hall 7.1 a. In the context of the Marketing & Distribution Track, the Future Track and the Responsible Tourism Track, experts from a wide range of disciplines will discuss the possibilities of sustainable corporate strategies, analyse consumer and marketing trends and consider the changing conditions of a crisis-prone environment. Exclusive information and insights will be provided by Mitra Sorrells (SVP Content, Phocuswright), Anke Hsu (Chief Growth Officer, Chain4Travel) and Sarah Kopit (Editor-in-Chief, Skift), among others.

New formats offer compact practical knowledge

The Green Stage in Hall 3.1 is dedicated to individual target group markets and special interest segments. Forums such as the Hospitality Track, the Diversity & Inclusion Track, the Business Travel Track and the Adventure, Youth & Outdoor Track look at trends within the LGBTQ community, ask about contemporary forms of travel for people with disabilities and discuss new strategies for target group analysis and marketing. Exciting insights are promised by the presentation by Camilo Navarro, COO & Co-Founder of Wheeltheworld, the leading travel platform for people with physical disabilities. Ideas and concepts for positioning tourist destinations will be presented by Florian Größwang (Innovation Ecosystem Builder, TourCert Austria). With ITB Deep Dives and ITB Tech Time, the ITB Berlin Convention 2026 will also present two new information formats on the Green Stage, providing the audience with highly useful and compact practical knowledge.

ITB Transition Lab: From strategy to action

Lively demand is also expected for the ITB Transition Lab, which is being continued after its premiere in 2025. As in the previous year, participants can expect a compact programme with high practical benefits. Marketing experts from the destination and hospitality sectors will present data-based recommendations for action in 90-minute interactive formats.
