Homo Sapiens, the podcast hosted by Chris Sweeney, is expanding its community engagement with a free dog-walking event at Regent’s Bar & Kitchen in London.
With over six million downloads and nearly a decade on air, Homo Sapiens has built a loyal audience. The podcast’s organisers are now encouraging listeners and supporters to meet in person for a relaxed, hour-long stroll through Regent’s Park.
The event is open to LGBTQ+ people, their dogs, and anyone interested in joining the group.
The gathering is scheduled for this coming Saturday, 12 September, from 1pm to 3pm, with participants meeting at Regent’s Bar & Kitchen at 1pm.
While the event is free, organisers are asking attendees to sign up in advance to help estimate numbers.
Chris said the event is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, whether or not attendees have a dog: “No dog? No problem – we’ve got plenty to go round!”
This initiative marks the next step in the podcast’s efforts to strengthen its network and foster connections among its listeners.
The organisers describe the walk as friendly and open to all, reflecting the community spirit that has developed around the show.
The Homo Sapiens team hopes the event will provide an opportunity for listeners to connect beyond the podcast and enjoy a shared experience in one of London’s parks.
