AEW ALL OUT LIVE BLOG & MATCH COVERAGE

Ignorant static, malignant noise, turn down the volume on your master’s voice. Birds of a feather, doomed from the start. Birds of a feather, it all falls apart. Chaos waits at every turn, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The Tailgate Brawl opens with Excalibur welcoming us to the show and we get right into the action!

“Jungle Man” Jack Perry vs. Katsuyori Shibata

Circling, collar and elbow, Shibata with a side headlock, into the takeover, shift to a headscissors, Perry does a headstand for the evasion but Katsuyori immediately takes him back to the mat and presses his attack. Jungle Man back to his feet, knucklelock, overhand chop, arm drag, into trading chops and Shibata takes him down with one!

Off the ropes, slide under, Jack pops up with a right hand, whip across, Katsuyori hangs back in the ropes, Perry up top and Shibata clobbers him with an overhead chop that sends us to break!

Back from commercial, Shibata with a big chop in the corner, Perry walks to the next corner and gets chopped again! Going forehead-to-forehead, Jack shoves him and eats a chop and walks into in! More chops, Jungle Man roaring, getting fired up, he lays a big uppercut in on the Wrestler’s jaw! Vicious elbows, Perry off the ropes and he sends Katsuyori to the apron with a running knee!

Back and forth on the apron, Shibata’s turn to power up and take a bunch of chops without flinching before dropping Perry with a single chop of his own! Half-halch suplex on the apron, Katsuyori hangs onto the facelock and Jack reverses into a straight suplex of his own on the floor! Perry clutching his red raw chest as he goes back to the apron, posing for the crowd, he perches but Shibata cuts him off! Jockeying for position, sunset flip powerbomb reversed with a Frankensteiner!

Jungle Man counters the Penalty Kick into Snare Trap in the middle of the ring! Katsuyori gets out, lays chest kicks in, off the ropes, Perry cuts him off with a dropkick on the button… TIGER DRIVER CAN’t DO IT! Shibata gets him in the corner, repeated chops, snapmare, falling back into the sleeper hold but Jack rolls through into a bridging pin… IT’S OVER!

“Jungle Man” Jack Perry wins by pinfall with a bridging pin.

Post-match, Jungle Man calls Samoa Joe out and kneels in the middle of the ring, the crowd serenading him with “Joe’s gonna kill you!” chants.

The rest of the Opps come to the stage, Jack says he doesn’t want them and asks where Joe is–

Perry gets to his feet as Joe gets in the ring and stares him down. Jack extends a hand but Samoa just turns around and leaves the ring. Perry pulls him around and shoves him and demands that Joe shake his hand, which earns him “You fucked up!” chants. Samoa extends his hand… AND CLOBBERS JACK WITH A HEADBUTT THAT LAYS HIM OUT!

Back from commercial, we get entrances for our next match.

Mina Shirakawa & Queen Aminata vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue)

Shirakawa and Hart to start, feeling out, standing STO from Julia, follow-up countered into a pin, Mina shimmies and kicks her leg out of her leg! Tags made, a shoving match breaks out and devolves into Aminata and Blue trading elbows, Skye with a kick, off the ropes, Code Blue countered, Queen catches a kick and drops her with a shoulder block.

Aminata with the butt bumps, tag to Shirakawa, slingshot tornillo, cover for two! Julia runs interference from the floor, Sisters take control, and we go to break!

Tags made, Shirakawa holds Blue in place for a double stomp, Julia breaks it up and pulls Mina in, clubbing blows, Superkick Party from the Sisters, stereo octopus holds, babyfaces fight out, Aminata gets Skye in the ropes but Julia makes the save!

Match breaks down, Queen hooks Blue for the snap swinging neckbreaker and both women are down and out! Mina tags in, inverted facelock, Skye reverses to a victory roll pin for two! Shirakawa lays her out with a kick, Hart pulls Aminata off the cover, Blue rolls Mina up for a nearfall! Arm wringer, float over…

Sisters of Sin win by pinfall with Code Blue from Skye Blue on Mina Shirakawa.

Mick Foley interviews Coach Juice about his strategy for Bang Bang Gang in the atomicos match that’s next and spouts a bunch of sports jargon before switching to a pep talk about persevering and showing everyone they’re the baddest gunslingers in town. Mick hypothetically asks what they would say if he said he wasn’t down with that, and they all do a Guns Up and send us to break.

Back from commercial, we get entrances for the atomicos, Clark Connors carrying a keg (of beer, presumably) and the Death Riders boys in football gear with Marina dressed as their coach, and they do a little inset headshot “what school did you go to” football thing that I only know from Key & Peele.

Bang Bang Gang are also dressed as football men and are given positions, but they don’t do the headshot intro thing.

Bang Bang Gang (Ace Austin, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, & “Switchblade” Jay White) vs. Death Riders (Daniel Garcia & Wheeler YUTA) & the Dogs (Clark Connors & David Finlay) (Tornado Tailgate Brawl)

Lined up in three-point stances, tough guys hooooo and the match wastes no time getting to an all-out brawl! Ace with a vicious dropkick, White puts Finlay in to the corner, Juice throws some hand signals and the Bang Bang Gang lights on David! They bring a football into the proceedings, Jay doesn’t quite know what to do with it so he just throws it right at Finlay’s face!

Action to the floor, Riders and Dogs do football shenanigans and leave the Bang Bang Gang laying as we go to break!

Back from commercial, Riders and Dogs working Switchblade over, Marina Shafir is on the megaphone, Ace Austin is on top of the ramp, three-point stance, football in hand, he charges, leapfrogs Connors, ducks Finlay, shoulder block for Garcia, crescent kick for YUTA and he’s fired up and spikes the ball in the ring!

Off the ropes… SASUKE SPECIAL FROM ACE AUSTIN! Austin Gunn in the ring, pop-over facebuster, snap off a DDT on David, fired up! Jay up top, ball in hand… SENTON ATOMICO INTO THE CRUSH! Keg in the ring, Bang Bang Gang work Finlay over and put him into the keg with a Fameasser! Austin Gunn with a lateral press… SHAFIR BREAKS IT UP!

Coach Juice gets on the apron to even the odds, throwing down his clipboard, arguing with Marina, she says she’s coaching and he throws a flag on her! They brawl and roll out to the floor, Finlay cracks Austin Gunn in the face with a helmet… NOT ENOUGH! Connors gets shoved off the top and into a grill that’s on the floor as we go into “everybody do something cool” territory, 3:10 to Yuma takes Garcia out!

YUTA rolls Juice up for two, Blade Runner connects…

Bang Bang Gang win by pinfall with Blade Runner from “Switchblade” Jay White on Wheeler YUTA.

And that’s it for the Tailgate Brawl!

The pay-per-proper kicks off with the obligatory hype reel video package.

Andrade el Idolo (c) vs. PAC (AEW National Championship)

Andrade conducts the “How you know?” chants briefly before getting down to business, circling, el Idolo rushes in, PAC with a rebound German suplex, champion hits the back elbow and falls into a cover… NOPE! La casadora arm drag, roll through, both men throw big boots at the same time and end up down and out! Circling, slowing, “He’s our Bastard!” / “How you know?” chants dueling, Andrade offers a hand.

A skeptical PAC grabs his hand, front kick, whip to the corner, running uppercut, Flair Flip, elbow from the apron, el Idolo off the top with a crossbody for a nearfall! Thinking Three Amigos, one, two, point to the sky, the Bastard floats over the third! Go-behind, back elbows from PAC, off the ropes, Andrade sends him to the floor with a dropkick!

The Bastard counters a plancha with a kick to the midsection and rolls back inside to distract referee Aubrey Edwards while Marina Shafir puts boots to el Idolo! PAC takes him back inside, kneels on his neck, Shafir pulls Andrade back to the floor and claws his face! The Bastard with a whip hard into the barricade, break the count, flip Edwards the bird, throw el Idolo into another barricade and then PAC claws at his face!

Edwards is right on him to knock that off and get it back into the ring, Andrade reverses a whip and puts him hard into the barricade and then passes Marina over the barricade and into the front row! A few chops for PAC, throwing him back inside, the Bastard sets the champion up top, clubbing blows, el Idolo knocks him down with a back elbow! Climing up to the top, the second try standing moonsault… SO CLOSE!

Charging in, PAC belly-to-belly suplexes him into the turnbuckles, springboard Ace Crusher… NOT ENOUGH! Back and forth, big lariat, flying forearm, both men are down and Andrade kips up and, more importantly, starts taking his pants off! The Bastard cuts him off, hooks him for a suplex, but el Idolo counters and gets all Three Amigos!

The Bastard drags him into position, heads up top… NOBODY HOME ON THE BLACK ARROW! Underhooks, Marina runs interference from the apron, offering peace, Andrade puts a finger on his cheek like “plant ‘em right here” and the Bastard cuts him off with a Poison Frankensteiner!

Off the ropes, head of steam, lariat sets up the Brutalizer… AND ANDRADE ROLLS HIM INTO A COVER! IT’S OVER!

Andrade el Idolo wins by pinfall with a side folding press, retaining the AEW National Championship.

Ahead of our next match, Kevin Knight makes his entrance, followed by Kyle Fletcher.

By comparison, Darby Allin and Steven Borden make their entrance together.

Darby Allin & Steven Borden vs. Don Callis Family (Kevin Knight & Kyle Fletcher)

Don Callis is on commentary for this one.

Allin and Fletcher to start but Kyle wants Borden and Darby obliges! Circling, collar and elbow, struggling around the ring, Fletcher gets him in the ropes and breaks clean! Steve blocking punches, big right hooks of his own, Kyle gets him into the corner and Knight gets his licks in! Match breaking down, Allin runs in to send the Jet to the floor, babyfaces pacing, no opportunity for a dive so Darby goes back to the apron.

Borden waiting in the ring while referee Bryce Remsburg counts and Fletcher and Knight confer on the floor. Throwing Knight into the corner, tag to Allin, side headlock applied! Shot off, leapfrog, springboard arm drag sends Kevin to the floor! The Jet slides back inside, Darby bouncing on his feet, shrugging a jab off, the Jet leads him on a merry chase around the ring, blind tag to the Protostar and he beats Allin down!

Action to the floor, Darby goes over the steel steps… AND KYLE FLETCHER POWERBOMBS HIM INTO THE DIAMOND PLATE! Back inside, cover for two, tag to Knight, big uppercut! Pressing the attack, Fletcher back in, Lawn Darting Allin hard into the turnbuckles! Tag made but Bryce doesn’t see it and while he’s keeping Borden out of the match, the heels chuck Allin out to the floor!

Steven gets in finally, dropkick, X-Factor, Kyle sidesteps and the Stinger Splash sends Borden clean over the post and to the floor! Leaping lariat from Kevin on Darby, throwing him back inside! Knight and Steven jump at each other from opposite turnbuckles and meet in the middle!

Steven Borden is legitimately knocked out, medics come and check on him and the match ends up called…

Don Callis Family win by referee stoppage.

Commentary talks at length about the stoppage to explain it, Taz and Excalibur talking about similar incidents that happened to them, Excalibur admitting that a similar incident is why he retired from in-ring competition and complimenting the medical team for calling the match the second it was clear that Borden was out.
