Dante Moore, Chris Simms, Dan Lanning, and Oregon football spark a massive media debate after a brutal hit in the Ducks’ matchup against USC! On today’s episode of Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich, Dan defends Chris Simms’ honest halftime analysis of Dante Moore’s late slide—and shreds the NBC analyst for caving to the outrage mob and issuing an unnecessary apology. After Oregon QB Dante Moore took a heavy hit while sliding late against USC defender Desman Stephens, Chris Simms told the truth on air: Moore slid too late and put the defender in an impossible, “no-win” situation. But after social media erupted, Simms folded and apologized for “mishandling” the moment. Dan Dakich sets the record straight, explaining why Simms was 100% right in his initial breakdown, why late slides put defenders in a bind, and why TV analysts need to stop groveling and apologizing simply for doing their jobs.
