The Green Bay Packers‘ WR pecking order was named a fantasy football storyline to monitor by NFL analyst Alex Kay of Bleacher Report.
The Packers haven’t had a dominant No. 1 receiver since Davante Adams‘ departure in 2022, but that could change next season.

Green Bay lost Romeo Doubs to the New England Patriots in free agency and traded Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason.
Without Wicks and Doubs, Green Bay has Tucker Kraft, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, Savion Williams, Skyy Moore, Jakobie Keeney-James, Isaiah Neyor and Will Sheppard on their roster at wideout for Jordan Love to target.
“How the Packers will divvy up these targets remains to be seen, making this training camp a must-follow for fantasy managers,” Kay wrote. “The bulk of the volume projects to go to Golden, Watson and Reed, with the latter two pass-catchers each cementing their status as building blocks by inking extensions this offseason.”
Love and Green Bay haven’t won a playoff game since 2023, but Love is viewed by his peers as a franchise guy.

“It starts with the quarterback,” Franklin told NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. “Jordan Love. I told him he was the main reason I came to Green Bay. I wasn’t coming to Green Bay or going to an organization without a proven franchise QB. He is that. He’s the type of quarterback you want to be around. Great manner in the locker room, competes his ass off, is constantly working to get better. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a QB1 just really raising the level of everybody by his work ethic like that. It’s really dope to see.”
Love has turned into a solid QB under Matt LaFleur, but the Packers aren’t paying Love to be solid. They are paying him to be a superstar. Love signed a four-year, $220 million contract with Green Bay in 2024.
The 27-year-old Love finished last season with 3,381 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns while completing 66.3% of his passes. The Packers went 9-7-1 and lost to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round of the 2026 NFL playoffs.

Love enters next season with 11,535 passing yards and 83 passing touchdowns. He’s 27-20-1 as a starter.
