New DNC Fundraising Email Urges Voters To Find Something Better To Do With Their Money

WASHINGTON—Pleading with recipients to use their hard-earned cash more productively, a Democratic National Committee fundraising email sent out Thursday urged voters to find something better to do with their money. “There are so many incredible things you can put your money toward that are more worthwhile than the Democratic National Committee,” read the email attributed to DNC chair Ken Martin, which bore subject line “I am begging you to ignore us” and went on to list hundreds of more sensible options such as a delicious sandwich, new shoes, or a down payment on a Jet Ski. “No amount, whether it’s $100, $10, or even just a buck, is too small to spend elsewhere, like maybe on that guitar you’ve always held back on purchasing. Our country is facing a critical moment in the upcoming midterms, and your support for the DNC will not make a difference. Can we count on you to buy a plane ticket to visit your sister in Tucson and not squander a single penny on us?” Meanwhile, a fundraising email sent Thursday by the Republican National Committee informed GOP voters that $100 had automatically been deducted from their checking accounts and that only a socialist would ask why.
