Months after Deion Sanders attempted to coax an answer from Rocsi Diaz about her dating life, the former “106 & Park” host is making it clear: she’s all the way in with actor Anthony Anderson.
In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, Diaz posted a carousel featuring herself and Anderson to celebrate his guest-hosting duties on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” including a photo with his mother.
“Big Birthday Week Leo Energy @anthonyanderson my Papi Chulo is Hosting @jimmykimmellive all week. Tune in,” she wrote.
The guest-hosting spot on Kimmel has featured a rotating list of celebrities throughout the summer while the show’s eponymous host takes a summer break. Tiffany Haddish and Colman Domingo have taken turns in the host chair. Anderson’s guests this week include NBA star Jaylen Brown on Thursday and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) on Friday.
Back in January, during an appearance on “The View,” Anderson described what Diaz meant to him in their relationship, calling her “his lady.”
He expounded on those thoughts with Angie Martinez, telling the legendary radio host that it “just happened.”
“I never watched ‘106 & Park’ and said, ‘Ah, I gotta get with that,’” Anderson told Martinez. “I met Rocsi with Kevin Lyles before she started at ‘106 & Park.’
He went on to add that they had known each other for more than 20 years before being in the right place and at the right time to see where love could take them.
“The difference now is I’m learning, or I’ve learned to prioritize a better balance in life, in my personal life, and not be just strictly about work and about what the next project is going to be,” he said.
Although Anderson has been more than vocal about his relationship with Diaz, the Instagram post from the Emmy and Peabody Award winner is the first from her confirming their romance. And in the modern age of dating (at least to some), the relationship isn’t real until you see it on Instagram.
