Karoline Leavitt Slams Toddler Son Over Baseless Accusations That Caterpillar Very Hungry

WASHINGTON—Blasting the 2-year-old’s incessant lying to the American people, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Thursday slammed her toddler son over baseless accusations that the caterpillar was very hungry. “Time and time again, this vindictive child has served up fabrications regarding the caterpillar’s appetite that consist of nothing but radical left talking points,” Leavitt said in reference to the insect protagonist of Eric Carle’s classic children’s book The Very Hungry Caterpillar, adding that her son was peddling fake news and that the caterpillar had never at any point munched its way through a number of fruits and junk food items. “That caterpillar was well-fed at all times, and to suggest anything else is yet another socialist fiction straight out of the Soros playbook. Maybe instead of trying to cause a distraction by lying about the caterpillar’s hunger, maybe instead of attempting to manipulate people into thinking the caterpillar ate an ice cream cone, a pickle, and a slice of Swiss cheese, my son should focus on the golden age this country is currently enjoying.” Leavitt went on to state that her toddler’s deceptions were part of a pattern of outrageous accusations that have included groundless assertions that someone said good night to the moon.
