Clemson DL Burley suspended following arrest

CLEMSON, SC(WSPA)-Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney released the following statement Saturday afternoon regarding senior defensive lineman Vic Burley:

“Earlier today, I was made aware of defensive tackle Vic Burley’s arrest by the Clemson University Police Department for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning. I have made the decision to suspend Vic from our football team indefinitely. We are extremely disappointed by his actions and decisions.”

Burley, who’s been working his way back from injury during preseason camp, made 15 of his 24 career tackles last season.

The Tigers open the 2026 campaign September 5th at LSU.
