Frances Perkins Center to Co-Host Maine Women’s History Exhibit in Ellsworth – The Lincoln County News

The Frances Perkins Center, in partnership with Heart of Ellsworth and Americans Who Tell the Truth, will present “Twelve Maine Women: Portraits of Change,” a public art exhibit and accompanying series of community programs celebrating the lives and contributions of influential Maine women.

Opening with a free public reception on Thursday, Aug. 6, the exhibit will be on display through Sept. 25 at the Heart of Ellsworth Makerspace, at 16 State St. in Ellsworth.

Created by artist Robert Shetterly as part of the Americans Who Tell the Truth portrait series, the exhibit features women whose leadership, courage, and advocacy have shaped Maine and beyond.
